    Hopefully some of you will find this useful. This is a list of some software that I use on a regular basis.

    Security

    App: Microsoft Security Essentials
    OS: Windows XP SP2-Windows 8
    Description: Free for personal use. If you're paying for AV software, then do yourself a favour by using this.
    License: Free of cost for up to 8 computers.

    Description: Simple, but powerful, media player. Can play essentially any media format.

    OS: Windows only i think...
    Description: turns off unnecessary programs and processes while ur gaming.
    It got a "basic" version thats free.

    Or you can just turn it off yourself :D

    @ Omni: Chromium = debranded version of Chrome. No difference apart from removing proprietary bits.
